The End is no longer a single plain with holes in it. Islands differ in height, thickness and shape, and each biome has its own mobs, plants and loot. Mobs are nastier versions of ones you know.
The biomes you are most likely to settle or travel through:
| Biome | What it is like |
|---|---|
| The Hallow | Exceptionally rare. Rainbow trees, Diorite and Calcite instead of End Stone, large amethyst crystals under the cliffs. Only Allays and passive Pixies spawn, so it is the safest place in the End. The Chapel of Light and End Villages can generate here. |
| Amethyst Forest | Common. Tall purple trees, amethyst buds and clusters, patches of obsidian. Passive farm animals and wolves. End Villages, End Cities and Fishing Huts can generate here. |
| Prismarine Forest | Semi-common. Light blue trees and puddles with coral, sea grass and sea pickles. Frogs spawn. |
| End Wilds | Common. Dark yellow grass and baobab trees. Endermen, Zombies and Phantoms along with farm animals. |
| End Shrubland | Common. The same trees and layout as the End Wilds, with lighter yellow grass. |
| Endless Dunes | Rare. Sand dunes with the occasional oasis, Endermen, Voided Zombies and Voided Skeletons. Desert Ruins bury Dune Speed books in Suspicious Sand. |
The rest, with no write-up here: Ashfall Deltas, Blazing Dunes, Crystal Crags, Dragon's Den, Ender Wastes, Fiery Hills, Flesh Tundra, Frosted Hills, Frosted Valley, Frozen Marsh, Frozen Shrubland, Frozen Spikes, Hallowed Tundra, Prismatic Dunes, Sculk Growth, The Nest, The Void and Warped Marsh, plus the vanilla End biomes.
About five times the size of a vanilla stronghold and full of Illagers guarding the End Portal. Evokers here drop spellbooks, and the library chests can hold a Book of Obstruct.
Rebuilt for Stellarity. Trial spawners produce upgraded Overworld mobs and drop keys, and End Crystals guard them. Loot comes from vaults, and the pack does not publish exact chances:
Sits in The Hallow and Prismatic Dunes. The Altar of the Sacred is at its centre: it grants temporary effects and summons the Empress of Light.
End Villages, End Dungeons, Shipwrecks, Campsites, Obsidian Spikes, Desert Ruins and Fishing Huts generate in the biomes that suit them. Fishing Hut barrels can hold the local fish, such as an Amethyst Budfish or a Bubblefish.
End Village Librarians turn an Enchanted Book into a Book of Light for 64 Emeralds.
