These Terms of Service ("Terms") cover the Lion Madness website, the Lion Madness Minecraft server ("the Server"), and the Lion Madness Discord community. Using any of them means these Terms apply to you. If you do not agree with them, please do not play on the Server or take part in the community.
Some things are covered by their own documents rather than this one. The Server Rules set out what is and is not allowed in-game. The Privacy Policy explains what we do with data. The Cookie Policy covers browser storage. The Reporting & Complaints page explains how to raise a copyright, privacy, or safety issue.
Who These Terms Are Between
Three people help run Lion Madness day to day, but the server was founded by, and is principally owned and operated by, one of them: Filip Kasprzak, based in the United Kingdom. Full contact details are at the bottom of this page. Discord, Mojang/Microsoft, and any payment provider we later use each run their own services under their own terms. Those are separate agreements between you and them, and we cannot agree to them on your behalf.
Age
There is no minimum age to play on the Minecraft server, and we do not run an age check. Younger players are welcome in-game.
The Discord is different. Discord requires its own users to be at least 13, and older in some countries, so anyone below that age cannot join it. That said, our chat bridge relays ordinary Minecraft chat to Discord by default, whether or not the sending player is linked to a Discord account, so a message from an under-13 player can still reach our Discord channel even though that player could never join Discord themselves. See the Privacy Policy for what the bridge sends and how we handle that.
If you are under 18, ask a parent or guardian before spending money on anything connected to Lion Madness. We will not publish a photo, voice, real name, or other identifying detail of an identifiable minor without permission from whoever has the authority to give it. A Minecraft username does not count as that permission.
Parents and guardians can email lionmadnessminecraft@gmail.com to ask what we hold about their child or to have it deleted. The Privacy Policy sets out what we collect from players of any age.
The Discord Bridge
Channels we've designated as bridged connect Minecraft chat and Discord chat in both directions. Sending a message in one of those channels means it may appear in the other, and that applies whether or not your Minecraft account is linked to a Discord account. There is no separate opt-in step for ordinary chat, and the bridge does not treat an unlinked player's chat as private.
Linking your Minecraft account to Discord is optional. It changes how your bridged messages are shown and can enable role and account-linked features, but it is not what turns the bridge on for you. Use /linkinfo in-game to see how linking works and what it changes. Whether a bridged message shows your Minecraft username or your linked Discord identity depends on the server's active configuration, described accurately in the Privacy Policy.
Don't use the chat bridge to send passwords, payment details, government identifiers, confidential information, or another person's personal information, and follow the Server Rules and Discord's rules the same way you would anywhere else. We may moderate or remove bridged content under those same rules.
Staff can also send a one-way announcement from Discord into Minecraft with the server's announcement command, including to unlinked players. That's separate from the two-way chat bridge above and does not send a player's own chat, name, or activity out to Discord.
Playing on the Server
Lion Madness is a vanilla+ survival server built around Towns & Nations land claims and a player-driven economy. By joining, you agree to:
- Follow the Server Rules, which are the authoritative version. Staff may post clarifications in Discord, but where a Discord message and the Rules page conflict, the Rules page wins.
- Not use cheat clients, X-ray texture packs, exploits, or duplication bugs.
- Respect claimed land, towns, and nations belonging to other players.
- Not harass, threaten, or discriminate against other players or staff.
- Not attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorised access to Server infrastructure.
- Not evade a ban or mute using an alternate account.
We update the Rules as the server changes. Material changes take effect going forward rather than retroactively, and an appeal is assessed against the rules that were in force when the incident happened.
Because the Server evolves, we may need to reset or modify parts of the world, adjust the economy, or roll back changes to fix bugs or exploits. We will give notice on the website and in Discord when a change is significant, but we cannot promise that every build, item, or balance decision will be permanent.
Moderation, Bans & Appeals
Staff may warn, mute, kick, or ban a player who breaks these Terms or the Server Rules. For serious cases such as cheating, threats, harm to other players, or attacks on the infrastructure, we may act without prior notice. Otherwise we aim to act proportionately, and we may temporarily remove or hide content while we look into a report.
We may take conduct outside the Server into account where it directly affects the safety of this community, but we do not police unrelated off-platform behaviour.
Appeals. If your Minecraft account is linked to Discord, a Server ban also bans you from our Discord, which is where support tickets normally happen, so a ticket will not be an option. To appeal a Server ban, use appeal.gg/cHwDUKkkHc, which works even though you cannot open a ticket in the Discord itself. A mute, or a ban on an unlinked account, can still be appealed through a support ticket in Discord. Either way, you can also email lionmadnessminecraft@gmail.com. Include your Minecraft username, roughly when the action happened, and anything you want us to consider. We aim to respond within 7 days. Staff decide appeals, and we cannot guarantee a particular outcome, but we will tell you the decision.
We use technical tools such as anti-cheat plugins to flag suspected cheating. A flag is information for a human reviewer rather than an automatic verdict, and a person reviews it before a ban stands. If a restriction is ever applied automatically, you can ask a human to review it using the appeal routes above.
The Store
The Lion Madness store is not open. Nothing is for sale today, no payments are taken, and no payment provider is processing anything on our behalf. If you are asked to pay for Lion Madness anywhere right now, it is not us. Please report it using the Reporting & Complaints page.
When the store does open, it will carry cosmetics and ranks. Our own rule is that nothing sold will hand a buyer an advantage in combat, in a land claim, or in the economy, and we intend to operate the store within Mojang's Minecraft Usage Guidelines. Before the first sale we will update this page and the Privacy Policy to name the payment provider, link the exact checkout terms you will see at the till, and say who handles refunds, chargebacks, and support.
Nothing here removes rights you have under consumer law where you live, and we will not promise you a refund policy before we can tell you which provider's policy applies.
Your Content
Content you submit to be featured
If you deliberately send us a build, screenshot, video, artwork, or other material to be featured, you keep ownership of it. By submitting it you give Filip Kasprzak a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, reproduce, display, crop, resize, caption, and share that submission on the Lion Madness website and the official Lion Madness social accounts you pick when you submit it, for community and promotional purposes. The licence does not cover paid advertising, merchandise, or sub-licensing to anyone else.
You can withdraw permission for future use at any time by emailing lionmadnessminecraft@gmail.com. We will stop LM-controlled use within a reasonable period, but we cannot un-publish copies other people have already saved, reposted, or cached, and we may keep a record of the permission itself. We will credit you under the name or handle you choose wherever that is practical, and you can ask to be credited anonymously.
What you have to be able to promise
Only submit material you made yourself or are allowed to license. You need the necessary permissions for anything included in it: third-party artwork, music, mods, skins, logos, and any identifiable person's image, voice, or name. If a submission shows someone under 18, you need permission from whoever can give it for that person.
Do not submit private messages, staff tickets, moderation evidence, or someone else's content unless you are authorised to. We may refuse, edit, redact, or take down a submission if we receive a complaint or reasonably believe it infringes someone's rights or breaks Discord's rules, Mojang's rules, or the law.
Ordinary Discord and in-game activity
Posting something in a general Discord channel, or building it on the Server, does not by itself give us permission to republish it elsewhere. We ask first, every time. The fact that staff can see a message does not make it ours to license, and we do not treat the Discord as a library of content to draw from. If we want to feature something you posted, someone will ask you, and you can say no.
Our Content & Minecraft
The Lion Madness name, logo, website, and original builds are ours. Lion Madness is a fan-run Minecraft server and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Mojang AB, Mojang Studios, or Microsoft. Minecraft is a trademark of Mojang Synergies AB. We are also not affiliated with or endorsed by Discord Inc.
No Warranty; Limitation of Liability
The Server and website are provided "as is." We do our best to keep things online and your builds safe, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted uptime, bug-free gameplay, or that inventories, claims, or builds will never be lost to a bug, exploit, or hardware failure.
To the fullest extent the law allows, Lion Madness and its staff are not liable for indirect or incidental damages arising from your use of the Server or site. Some countries do not allow certain limits, and nothing here removes a right you have that cannot be limited by agreement, including consumer rights and liability for death, personal injury, fraud, or anything else the law says cannot be excluded.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms as the project grows. This page is the permanent home for the current version, and the date at the top always reflects it. We announce meaningful changes in Discord too, but this page is the record, and a change applies going forward. Continuing to use the Server or site after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
Who We Are & How to Reach Us
Lion Madness has three staff who help run the server and community day to day, but it was founded by, and is principally owned and operated by, one of them: Filip Kasprzak, based in the United Kingdom. That person is the operator responsible for what is described in these policies. In these policies, "Lion Madness," "we," "us," and "our" mean that operator.
For questions about these Terms, appeals, and store or payment issues, email lionmadnessminecraft@gmail.com. You do not need a Discord account to contact us, and you do not need to be unbanned. If you have been removed from the Server or the Discord, email still works. Our Discord is a community channel as well, but it is not the only way to reach us.
Copyright, privacy, and safety complaints have their own route and expected response window on the Reporting & Complaints page.
